@Julie Becker thanks for the suggestions. I read the thread and will look into trying to understand the API coding to solve the issue of removing the predecessors. @Paul Newcome is correct. The Move Row automation also is initiating.
I created 2 test SS to see if these automations would work. The Predecessor automation populates "#REF" in the Predecessor column of the successor line of the row that was moved. The row was moved to the other SS so that's a plus.

Seems like every time I search for a need that would simplify and automate a workflow the answer is, "submit a feature request."
Smartsheet - when trying to coordinate lots of data between two different teams managing multiple projects across 30 different countries, a report is a great central location to create only necessary links between domains. A roll up sheet has to be opened to be updated.

Ok. I just figured out what is happening. Data Shuttle #2 (which depends on Data Shuttle #1 being complete) is finishing before Data Shuttle #1. They are all currently set up as Run On Attachment, dependent on Smartsheet #1 attachment. I could schedule Data Shuttle #2 to run at a particular time, giving Data Shuttle #1 time to complete, but that time is a bit arbitrary. It varies as to how long it takes for it to run.
Is there a way to chain the workflows so that #2 doesn't kick off until #1 finishes? I haven't been able to find anything to address this one way or the other, although I'm sure this question has been asked previously.
