Re: HELP! Why are access requests going to all sheet Admins?
Found out the hard way about this change. Our exec leaders had been added to a group that has Admin permissions at the workspace level. And guess who received requests from end users about access. Come on SS - be more proactive about gather data from your community before making such impactful changes. please.
Re: Easily identify all Reports impacted by a column change or removal
I want to make some structure change to particular sheet. (Especially Primary column) However, before I can change that, I need to find out how many and what reports are using this sheet as it's source to make sure nothing will break.
Anything used in cross-sheet reference formulas are easier to find out but Smartsheet support said there is no way to know what reports are running using that particular source sheet.
As we build more solution and share the source sheet with others, sometimes structure change is needed but I'd love to avoid breaking reports, so I'd like to find out before I make the change.
This function would come in very handy especially I inherited this sheet when I go hired.

Mode date related features
When a date is changed on an action, we would like for SS to be able to determine if the new date is Before or After the initial date. This would be a real game changer for tracking projects deliverables.

@RamaniK There is a ton of work to do for collections. It is horrendous right now. I have no idea who decided to move all work back to the file workspace manager. That is what every other product has. Its clunky and people have to remember where to go or save a ton of shortcuts. Workapps.smartsheet.com was THE place to go, all in one place of all your processes.
Advanced users must now have been part of these discussions, as I cannot fathom any advanced workapp user wanting to migrate back to the workspace view.
Not a single one.
I have never seen a SAAS roll back features. You spent 3+ years touting Workapps and the Advanced Pro package for people to jump on and now you want to take it away.
If Collection is not 100% exactly like or better then Workapps, then sadly we are done with Smartsheet. Oh what could have been.
If you are not going to support Workapps, then you should have your 3rd party vendors support it and we can work with them.

VLOOKUP's don't update in background anymore?!
As the title says.
I knew index match doesnt work in the background but vlookup always did the trick. Except for today. Today my dashboard users all over the place contacted me that dashboards have been empty.
When I open the grid I can save the grid and the dashboards updates. But since May 2024 this worked automatically, what has changes? Since I'm working with "almost" real time data, a workaround is pretty hard.
Also working with cross references which could be the issue aswell

@Janelle Amazing. I stumbled upon this thread while trying to figure out how to print a report that looks like what it shows on the screen. I CANNOT believe how old this thread and how nothing has been done about it. This would be really useful tonight but now I have to spend more time outside of work hours to try and sort out a solution.

Cross sheet references not updating
I have 10 sheets which each have multiple cross-sheet references from other sheets. For the past year these sheets have functioned as designed, and all references (Vlookup and Indexmatch) have updated automatically without me having to even look at it. However, I noticed this past week these 10 sheets stopped updating automatically, and only refreshes when I manually open them. Ive tried adding automations (updating a helper column hourly, sending myself hourly refresh emails, and even adding a checkbox column which toggles on and off by the hour), none of which resolved the problem.
Any ideas on the cause of this?
note; these sheets have static rows, while the columns across update per the cross sheet references. No new rows are ever added- and the columns are fixed, with formulae in each column across which should refresh with data as it gets pulled from the reference sheets.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated, as opening these manually to refresh is time consuming and defeats the point.
