The issue you’re encountering may be due to the user being deactivated rather than completely removed from the current account. To resolve this, the System Admin of the original organization needs to ensure that the user is fully removed before you can add them to the new account. You can find detailed instructions here: Remove, deactivate, or reactivate users.

Alternatively, the user can request to be removed from their current account. Once their request is approved and they are fully removed, you’ll be able to invite them to the new account. More details on how to do this are available here: Leave your current Smartsheet account.

If neither of these options resolves the issue, I recommend following up with the Smartsheet Support team for further assistance.

I have established an auto-reporting schedule for a sheet I created.  We are retiring this sheet and want to stop the sending of any reporting.  I went in to the sharing section and scrolled over the list of prior send events and I see a pop up for delete or edit but they are greyed out ( I am the owner of the sheet).  What am I missing?

Thank you, I have 20 users whom I collaborate with. None of them now have the ability to work inside Smartsheet and any additional cost would make this activity prohibitive. What is the workaround you are referring to?

This really is a rigid way of managing workload in Smartsheet with users. It seems I now have to either downgrade to viewer , Guest isn't an available option, this means that no-one I work with can do any of the activities without additional payment. It's not clear what the payment is and how much this will cost per user. What once was an exceptional system have just become unusable. Its no longer a collaboration tool, it's a revenue stream and not longer fit for our business. I'm sorry Smartsheet, this decision is just crazy!!!
