Re: Increase cell character count
The 4,000 character limit per cell in Smartsheet is very restrictive. Excel has more than 32,000 and Google sheet is 50,000. Please can you increase Smartsheet cell character limit to 50,000? Thanks!

This request has not been looked at since 2023, and this is VERY necessary.
I think Group Management should work like Dynamic Views, with the same buttons. I'd like to be able to see all groups, groups I have created, and groups I am part of and my permission level (or maybe just groups I have permissions higher than just "member"). Similarly, we need to be able to sort group members in alphabetical order, export the group in Excel format, and **very important** assign Group Admins. The group owner being the only one who can add and remove members if very inconvenient.

Very useful but not available in Smartsheet.GOV. Please add to the .GOV version so all users can benefit from the Timeline feature.

Board view is amazing - I love being able to control what columns my users see. Please allow this to work in Reports!

How to link an entire column to another sheet
I need help. I want to link an entire column to another sheet so I do not have to manually link them all the time. Any suggestion? Both columns are labeled the same on each sheet. I tried the VLOOKUP and index, and they haven't worked.

I have a love/hate relationship with Smartsheet automation. On one hand, the automation has saved me countless hours of work. On the other hand, the way the Automation for a sheet pops out and covers up the data is maddening!
Having the automation pop up in a separate, re-sizeable window would be awesome. Taking it a step further, changing the visuals of the automation window to more closely resemble those used in process mapping would make life so much easier.
As it stands today, an individual must read through the automation rules. That becomes a major task when you inherit sheets from people that have moved on. Visual queues would make it so much easier to review and edit.

Fix Form Size in Dashboards and Mobile
Ever since the most recent updates to forms, they no longer fit in the Web Content widgets on dashboards, and they do not fit in some mobile applications.
I use form links in Web Content widgets on dashboards very regularly, and am now having to go through and spend what will amount to hundreds of hours redesigning dashboards so that the forms are usable within the dashboards again.
I did reach out to support to see if there was anything being done about it as maybe it might have been an unexpected / unintended consequence. They apologized for the "inconvenience" and suggested I start this Product Idea.

I am dealing with the same thing. I don't want any values tied to my legend, only the color and name of that slice of pie, like it does for bar graphs. This ruins my dashboards because it adds so much extra space to the legend, the pie becomes too small to see.

Indenting on Sheets - Editors
Hi - it seems that from a product level Editors can not indent on sheets. We have several sheets with Parent rows where editors are shared and can not indent. Can this be un-restricted as if they are allowed to edit they should be able to indent.

We can adjust your existing formula to use the COLLECT Function - this allows us to collect values that meet multiple criteria. Using it with DISTINCT will mean only distinct values are returned. Give this a try:
- =IFERROR(INDEX(DISTINCT(COLLECT({Sheet 2 - Company Name}, {Sheet 2 - Company Type}, "Type 1")), Index@row ), "BLANK")
