Re: Refining a Smartsheet That Tracks Corporate Giving
Understood. Have you tried using the Summary feature:
Use the "Summary" function. Select the field you want to summarize (e.g., donation amount) and choose "Top" from the summary options. Enter 10 as the number of items you want to display. This will create a new field that displays a summary of the top 10 donations/organizations (based on the Summary criteria you use.) Note: You may need a helper column if you want to count how many approved donations a company has and use the COUNTIF function there.

Re: Refining a Smartsheet That Tracks Corporate Giving
Without seeing an example of your sheet, wanted to ask if you have tried using something as simple as a report that pulls from your main sheet, filters to show only approved items, grouped by focus area (your drop down list), uses the summary function to count and show how many approvals there are for each focus area, and then sort the report by approval amounts to show top ones?

Re: Hierarchy Drill Through Solutions?
Hey @Carly Chaput
Yes, you can determine what Level in the hierarchy a row falls using the Ancestor function. Using the COUNT/Ancestor function will default your top level to zero. If you want it to begin at 1, add a +1 at the end of the formula.
Typically I put this in a helper column that I have very cleverly named "Level" 😀
=COUNT(ANCESTOR())
or if you like it to begin at 1
=COUNT(ANCESTOR())+1
Is this what you were looking for?

Re: Dynamic View: Change Source Sheet
Dynamic view is a PAID ADD-ON. This is a feature that should be given priority as it is essential for anyone using the product. I'm certain most of us expected the feature would be there when signing up and hadn't considered it wouldn't be. Please take another look and make this happen :(

Re: Dynamic View Default filter Enabled
Agreed, this would be good. I would also like to see filtering based upon a hidden column too

Re: Dynamic View Default filter Enabled
I can setup a default filter in the sheet through the Share Button, but I can't find anywhere where I can do same in Dynamic View.
Re: Dynamic View Default filter Enabled
Agree with both — hidden columns for filters and setup a default filter. Less overhead to manage, and better experience for the viewer.
