Adding a dashboard link to a different dashboard
I'm trying to add a dashboard link as a shortcut widget on a different dashboard. When I click Add Shortcut, then Smartsheet Item, I can see all of the sheets and reports, but not any other dashboards. I know I can add it as a website, but I want the dashboard symbol to be visible. It has worked previously.
Re: Include Images in cells through Forms
Can you please add the opportunity when creating a form, to enter an image into a specific cell when the user adds an image? Right now, they only load as attachments.
Why can't I add a new user to my account as a guest or viewer?
I do not want to add all new users to the account as 'Members'. I see no justification for Smartsheet making the new user default 'member' other than greed. To make this even more frustrating, I am unable to change the user-level until AFTER THEY HAVE ACCEPTED THE SMARTSHEET invitation email! Please stop frustrating your dedicated users.
Re: Rich Text Widget Scroll Bar Change
Thank you for the clarification, Genevieve. I appreciate you taking the time to provide a thoughtful response.
I'm drawing primarily on my experience working with other platforms and tools; when a bug is submitted through the ticketing system of these other platforms, Support engages directly with Engineering, the submitter is notified, and the bug is resolved in direct response to the initial ticket. The added requirement to post a bug to "Ideas and Feature Requests" to increase visibility, with multiple folks receiving the same "this is how the tool is designed to function" response, feels a bit roundabout, particularly for an example as straightforward as this. It also feels like bug reports muddy up the water of feature requests, though I understand if this portal is your primary point of community escalation and internal prioritization.
I realize that I'm flagging a challenge without offering up a solution, and without fully understanding your teams' internal structures and channels of communication. Just taking a moment to recognize the groundswell required to escalate a bug from support submission (possibly extending across multiple levels of support), through community posting, through upvote, through monthly Product Team review, and then eventually to resolution. It all feels pretty daunting and offers up multiple points of failure or abandonment.
Let me know if I'm reading any of this the wrong way - just reflecting on my experience elsewhere. Also, always happy to discuss further. Best everyone's way.

Enable Clickable Hyperinks in Smartsheet Forms (Android Mobile App)
Hello Smartsheet Community,
We've observed that hyperlinks included in the "Form Description" and "Helper Text" fields of Smartsheet forms are not functional within the mobile app. While these links operate correctly on desktop browsers, tapping them in the mobile app yields no response.
This limitation significantly affects our field teams, who rely on mobile devices to access forms. We often embed hyperlinks to protocols, instructional videos, and other essential resources within these fields to provide immediate guidance. The inability to access these links directly from the app hampers efficiency and user experience.
Given the increasing reliance on mobile solutions, I request that Smartsheet consider enhancing the mobile app to support clickable hyperlinks within form descriptions and helper texts. This improvement would greatly benefit users who depend on mobile access for their workflows.
I don't know if this is 'by design' or an issue that hasn't been flagged yet; either way, it needs an update to functionality.
Thank you for considering this enhancement. We look forward to any updates on this matter.
Thanks
B.Wats
Re: Rich Text Formatting in email notifications (and Update Requests)
Could we please get an update on where this request stands and if it's being worked on?
I agree with @IanJB, it is very strange that it's taken so long for this feature to be developed, and a working hyperlink in notification emails would be a huge step forward.
Re: Row Deletion Control
Having better user control over what users can or can't delete in rows and comments is crucial.
I suggest that the current user levels be updated as below
"Editor Can't Share" should be "Editor Can't Share or Delete"
(If they can't share, they also shouldn't have access to Delete rows or Comments).
"Editor Can Share" should be "Editor Can Share and Delete"
(If they can share, they should also have access to Delete rows and Comments).
For example in the healthcare industry, some data needs to be saved for a few years and if any editor can delete comments or rows, there's no way to see the history of the cells or comments (besides for pulling history reports, which can be complicated if there's multiple or random rows and comments missing).
Re: Row Deletion Control
User permission type set when sharing sheet similar to edit access, but to prevent/allow users to delete rows.

Rankadv dates, or DATEVALUE
Hi,
I was trying to rankadv a series of dates (to calculate employee seniority), which isn't yet a feature. Since I cannot do that, I wanted to turn that date into a number that I could then rank, which in Excel I can do with the DATEVALUE function. Is it possible to get either of those in SmartSheets?
display multiple columns in calendar view
Is there a way to display multiple date columns in calendar view? For example I have three delivery driver schedules in three different columns. I would like to display all three in one calendar view. How do i do this?
