Re: January Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
As part of the Smartsheet Launch Team within our PMO, I’ll be supporting the onboarding of our Project Managers to Smartsheet by the end of January 2026. The sessions we’ve hosted so far have generated excellent ideas, and the momentum across the organization has been incredibly energizing. From the formal rollout and office hours to executive support and PM engagement, the excitement has been truly refreshing.
}I’m looking forward to partnering with each team member to ensure a smooth, successful transition throughout January and well beyond. @Erik Camacho, @PhoenixAF24 are correct we always say "yes we can" because we believe Smartsheet can!

Consolidated one pane for multi-tables/ views/ charts
Smartsheet is structured with different tables, report, and dashboard. We can now move all the report and chart in dashboard but we can't really operate on it. We can click on responding by opening up the report or table to update separately. It would be great and super charge Smartsheet if we can build different panes for different users with proper access control to operate multiple tables and charts in one pane with ability to edit and update to see all the cross-table/ view change.
Re: SUMIF with AND function
Technically that particular error is coming from the second closing parenthesis on the end. You should only have on.
Having said that, the way to incorporate multiple range/criteria sets would be to use the SUMIFS function (with the "S" on the end). The thing to note about this is the syntax difference where the range to sum comes first.
=SUMIFS([Bill Check]2:[Bill Check]762, [Receipt]2:[Receipt]762, @cell <> true, [Revenue Check]2:[Revenue Check]762, @cell = 0)

Re: Embeding forms into a dashboard that is part of a Control Center Template Folder
@MockerTwin22 If all you do is provide a shortcut link on the dashboard, it should update once Control Center provisions a new project. This does not work for form embedded on a dashboard using aWeb Content Widget, though.

Re: Track Monthly Submissions from Multiple Locations
Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
Here are two options.
1️⃣ Use a report grouped by Location, and then you add conditions so it only shows the empty ones.
2️⃣ Add a section in the sheet where you list the Locations (Rows) and Months (Columns), and then use a COUNTIFS formula to count who has submitted or not. (You can also reverse it so Locations would be the columns, depending on what makes the most sense.)
Does that make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!

Re: Track Monthly Submissions from Multiple Locations
Yes, it’s definitely doable, but it will require a detailed session with your current setup, as the process may involve some trial‑and‑error steps.

Control Center- include the embedded form that is on a dashboard template
I'm redoing our dashboards, which are the templates that we use with Control Center. We have a new weekly status report widget on the dashboard. So, on the dash template, I added the link to a form on the status log sheet template.
When control center runs, the dashboard and all other assets and links are brought forward correctly, but the form to the status log sheet still points to the template. I tried manually editing it, but it would not take the new link until I recreated the web content link and brought in the correct form.
Doing research, this has been reported for years, but I don't see any plans for it.
I really like having this form available on our dashes to save our PMs' time and effort. Please look at adding this functionality.
Timescale and zoom Gantt settings copied to new sheets
I noticed that when you copy folders or sheets as "new", some settings like Gantt chart zoom and timescale options do not carry to the new copies, forcing to be updated after the fact and creating extra overhead. It would be great that those configs. would be considered structural and hence be copied as the rest of the data/fields. to foster consistency across your projects.
Thanks!
Re: Why cant I add my contacts?
Hello @DHanson
Most “no contacts imported / no error” cases are a CSV format mismatch. This is the shortest set of fixes that usually resolves it:
- Start from a known-good file
- In Smartsheet Contact List, export contacts to CSV.
- Use that exported CSV as your template (keep the exact header names/order).
2. Verify the CSV is truly comma-delimited
- Open the CSV in a text editor and confirm fields are separated by commas ( , ), not semicolons ( ; ).
3. Ensure required fields are present and clean
- Row 1 must be headers (no blank first row).
- Email column must exist and every row must have a valid email.
- No extra commas/quotes that shift columns (each row must have same number of columns).
4. Re-save/clean the file
- Open in Google Sheets (or Excel) and re-download/save as “Comma-separated values (.csv)”.
- Rename the file to simple ASCII (e.g., contacts.csv), then import again.
If it still imports nothing, post your first row (headers) and one sample data row (with email masked) to confirm the exact format.
