Sum(Children()) and Sum(row:row) not totaling correctly
I created a sheet to itemize costs on furniture orders. I used a hierarchy so I could just use =sum(children()) to see the total costs of each project. While the first project totaled correctly, the second is coming up with an additional $2919.36. First I went back to ensure all of the figures are correct, and they are. I also tried =sum([Total Cost]55:[Total Cost]108) and both ways give me $193,463.59.
When I highlight the cells that I am trying to sum, I get the correct answer of $190,544.23. I also exported to excel and used a sum function for the same cells and got the correct answer.
Is this a bug or is Smartsheet just gaslighting me?

Are you able to create a copy of the sheet, remove sensitive/confidential data, publish it (temporarily) and then share the link here so we can get in and take a look?

DO you maybe have a filter applied to the sheet?

No there are no filters created for this sheet.

Very interesting. I went to do as you asked and when I saved it as a new sheet the total corrected itself. It must have been a bug. I'm just going to use the new one and delete the old. Thanks for that suggestion. That will be my first try next time something isn't working.

Glad it is working for you now.
