New licensed user is not receiving invitation to join.

I am trying to add a new user and the invitation is not being received in the new users inbox. We have checked spam, etc. This is a rather urgent request. Should we expect a delay between sending the invite and recipient receiving this? I've attempted re-sending many times.
Note, Smartsheet automation emails are received without issue.
Please note, I am new to User Management.

I have seen this happen before, sometimes it can take quite a while for the email to arrive on invites, I'm not sure why.
Your user should be able to shortcut the process by just going to Smartsheet.com and creating an account with the same email address. Smartsheet's system should link the new account to the invite, add it to your org, and apply the license.
