Improved sorting and filtering now available in Search
Hi Community,
We have made enhancements to the search user interface, notably introducing a sort functionality that allows you to sort results by the default Recommended ranking or by modified date in ascending or descending order. Additionally, we added the ability for you to multi-select filters from within each dropdown, allowing you to search for more than one asset type or Workspace, etc. at a time.
This affects all plans. You can reference the Help article here.
You can also stay informed by Subscribe to receive product release updates for curated news of recently released product capabilities and enhancements for the platform of your choosing, delivered to your inbox. As new releases occur, you will receive a daily email with news of what's released. (Emails will only send daily, Monday-Friday, as new releases are available).
Cheers,
John Hieger, Product Marketing Manager

FYI - Our users struggle with the search function. We use Smartsheet for IT Helpdesk and Projects and the search is not useful for us in most cases.
Main use case: Search for an active helpdesk ticket based on a known text item
Our Experience: We usually have a filtered view (Active Cases) of the helpdesk sheet in front of us when we do this.
Step 1 - enter the search term
Step 2 - results include every Smartsheet item ever, including project comments, etc so
Step 3 - choose Enter or select Advanced search results
Step 4 - select the Type filter and choose Rows
Step 5 - select the Location filter and choose Current Sheet
Step 6 - scan through the results looking for the currently active ticket that matches the search term
Not ideal, but maybe impossible to code, IDK.
