How to select column name when typing a formula?

I often use formulas like COUNTIF, SUMIFS etc. where I want to select an entire column as a range, e.g. =COUNTIF([Date of Issuance]:[Date of Issuance], [Date of Issuance]@row)
If I was doing this in excel, I would type "=COUNTIF(" and then click on the column heading to populate the range part of the formula. This doesnt work in smartsheet.
Is there an efficient way to do this in smartsheet or do I have to type out the column header each time?

I select 2 rows of the column then just remove the row numbers from the formula

Thanks. That's what I've been doing, I was just hoping there might have been a quicker way that I'd overlooked.
