My time-based automated workflow is not emailing contacts
I created sheet and added 3 columns:
- Date Last Inspection
- Inspection Cycle (dropdown: Annual, Bi-Annual, Monthly)
- Contact Email (inspections)
I setup an Automation "Notify Contact Inspection is Due (Annual)"
- Trigger 365 days after a date on 'Date Last Inspection'
- Condition 'Inspection Cycle' is one of: Annual
- Alert someone: Send to contacts in a cell" Contact Email (Inspections)
When I back-date the Date column for 365 days ago and save, it doesn't email the contact.
Note: My Notifications under personal setting is checked to include my changes & Automation settings is 'Unrestricted'

Did you set the date to "tomorrow" and then wait until a little after 8:00am to see if it went through? It would not trigger as soon as you change the date.
-
i set the trigger date to be over a year ago (more than 365 days) & saved it 2 days ago, thinking email would eventually come, and it never did.
-
Try setting it up so that it is a daily trigger and the condition is where the date is 365 days in the past.

It worked. created another condition, as you said, where 'Date Last Inspection' is not in the last (days): 365
It was set at a Weekly trigger but i changed to Daily. Thank you Paul :)
