Verifying CMEK implementation

Today (after quite a long period of transition - December 2022) I was informed that all of my organisation's sheets were now fully encrypted using the "Customer Managed Encryption Key" feature.
I asked the simple question - how can I independently verify that from my end? This is essential for me to be able to demonstrate to my stakeholders (including clients) that security is well managed.
Apparently I cannot.
Idea: enable independent verification (or describe in a knowledge article how it can be done).
