Introducing the 2023 Core Product Certification Exam + Community Badges

Hello,

We are excited to reintroduce badges on Community to celebrate your Smartsheet product expertise. 

When you become Core Product Certified, you’ll not only receive a badge on Credly that you can share on your LinkedIn page but you’ll also receive a Community badge that you can proudly showcase on your profile.

Currently the 2022 Core Product Certification badge and 2023 Core Product Certification badge are available.

All Community members who have previously passed the 2022 or 2023 Core Product Certification exam have had the relevant badge automatically added to their account. 

Going forward these badges will be automatically issued on a monthly cadence by our Community team, to members as they qualify. 

Please check the Community Badge Dashboard for updates on available badges as we work to introduce more Certification and Skills badges in the near future.

What are PDUs and how do we get them for Certification Renewals?

PDU stands for Professional Development Units - you can earn PDUs by attending Smartsheet training and Smartsheet events (such as Engage sessions).

Awesome! I just did the Core certification. There were definately a handful of "trick" questions on the exam, but, still very passable! I'll likely do the administrator one down the line.

I'll probably do PDUs to renew for 2024 if I can.

Thanks! I did the certification and found it fairly straightforward, although I wish there was a way to turn the missed questions into a learning experience at the end by providing more information on the questions that were missed. I want to be able to fill in the gaps in my knowledge about some of the topics, but there is no record of the specifics missed, only the general themes.

I reported my PDU's last month and it's marked "complete" on my smartsheet university profile, but am wondering if we could expect a new badge to reflect that continuation/renewal of 2022 or does it role into a 2023 badge? Thanks.

@Kaveri Vipat I see the certification badge has been added to your Community profile. Congratulations. @SteyJ your certification badge will appear in Credly immediately once you pass the exam. It can take up to a few weeks for the badge to appear on your Community profile. Thank you for your patience and congratulations.
