Dashboards: open Reports in new window

Is it possible to change the behavior of the dashboard so that if a chart item links to a report it can open in a separate window? Currently, when clicking on a chart it replaces the dashboard. For instance, want to hold the Ctrl key while clicking on the chart and having it load in a separate window. Thank you.

I would also like the ability to have the Widget Action make the report open in a new window, rather than replacing the tab the dashboard was open in with the report. (I want to be able to flip back and forth between the dashboard and the report on different tabs)

Completely agree. We use dashboards as management and maintenance tools that includes step by step instructions. If an instruction is to open a report and do something, the user needs to go back to get back to the dashboard. Opening a report from a dashboard in work apps also sends the user out of work apps. Thanks for considering.
