Can a link to a PDF in SharePoint be added to a workapp in smartsheet?

I know that I can add excel, powerpoint, etc. but I would really like to link to a PDF. I don't think this is possible, but am wondering if it is due to a technical contstaint or if there is another reason. Is it on the roadmap?

I haven't personally tested this but I saw an instance where a PDF was successfully linked to - the permissions of the link for PDF needed to be manually set to "anyone".

Please note that permissions "anyone" gives access to anyone who receives this link, whether they receive it directly from you or forwarded from someone else, which may include people outside of your organization. Here's the Microsoft help article: Share SharePoint files or folders.

The reason for needing to make this change is because PowerPoint allows embedding which generates a link with that permission already assigned, while the PDF does not, and will require you to manually change this permission so it's accessible by external users or other applications (such as WorkApps).

Let me know if that worked for you or not!

    Cheers,

    Genevieve
