How to have a report to show newest row only?

I am creating a survey form to be filled out every 2 weeks with new information. Then displaying this information on a dashboard, but I only want to show the most recent update/entry on the dashboard. I have the dashboard, survey form, and report set up but how do I configure the report to only show the newest or most recent entry? That way when it shows up on the dashboard it only shows 1 entry, the newest?

May I assume each survey entry arrives in your sheet at the top?

If so, could your sheet or report include a 'helper' column such as a checkbox with a formula that results in 'true' (checked) for row 1 and 'false' (unchecked) for any other row? Something like IF(@row=1, 'true', 'false')

The report filter can then be utilised.
