Help Please....Formula to Copy Cell to Another Cell Based on %Complete and Assigned Resource

I would like an automated way to copy the task descriptions that are assigned to specific resources (person), that are less than 100% completed into a different column.

For example,

  1. I created a new column called Kerry's Tasks
  2. Now, if my Assigned Resource Column contains Kerry, AND
  3. My %Complete Column is less than 100%
  4. COPY the contents in my Task Description Column into the Kerry's Tasks Column AND
  5. If the %Complete Column is =100% delete or clear the cell in the Kerry's Task Column

I'm trying to get all tasks assigned to individual resources into their respective column and automate the updates to keep it current with %Complete.

    Have you tried dynamic view? Or even done a report?

    I am kind of confused about what you are asking otherwise, if the new column is in the sheet with the task, then why are you creating another column to state that when they already see the all the info. What are you trying to do with this set up? Could you just set some filters for people that say Assigned Resource is ??? and %Complete < 1?

    Please provide a screenshot and a little more context.

  • Dynamic View would easily solve what I'm looking for, but it's an expensive add-on.
