Transfer ownership from a deactivated user
How do I transfer workspace ownership to myself from an owner who's been deactivated? I am a sysadmin and have access to the Admin Center.

I hope you're well and safe!
You should transfer the ownership of everything from the user.
- To take ownership of a workspace from somebody who is no longer available, their System Admin should delete them and transfer ownership of all their Smartsheet items to an active user. SeeΒ Admin Center: Add, Edit, and Delete Individual users with User ManagementΒ for more information. If needed, the new owner can then transfer ownership of the specific workspace to you.

Thank you, Andree! This helped and turned out that I didn't need to delete the deactivated user - the option to transfer ownership from a deactivated account was open to me as a system admin.
