Primary formula column behaviour in card view
Hi there
I have a primary column which its value is calculated from a formula joining values from different fields in the same sheet.
When you create new card in card view, it seems like smartsheet doesn't know what to do and just created an 'empty' card (see screenshot below). There is a IF formula to determine when to use # or _, this may explains why it showing #_ in the screenshot.
I'm wondering what is the expected behaviour in situation like this?
Thanks.
Tony

Yeah. So that is going to be expected behavior until you start filling in the row data.

Hey Paul
I should have provided more details, here's the formula
=IF([FW Naming Style]@row = "MQF", [Meal No]@row + " " + Name@row + " #" + [Label Version]@row, Name@row + " #" + [Meal No]@row + "_" + [Label Version]@row)
FW Naming Style
andName
are also formula fields which using index & match formula to get values from a different sheet depending on the value ofMeal No
.So in grid view, I enter a value in
Meal No
first to getName
generated automatically.I hope this makes sense.
