`Created By` column is occasionally populated with `discussion.system@smartsheet.com`!

For no apparent reason, in a couple of our grids in different workspaces, the Created By system column is is populated with discussion.system@smartsheet.com. This happens for a couple different users. This seems like a strange little bug.

Anyone ever seen this?

I have seen it now for the first time as well and wonder where it comes from. did you get an asnwer from the support @Rob Oaks ?

It's been a while, so don't know if this is still an issue for either of you, but I just had a colleague just run into this and did some digging. The discussion.system@smartsheet.com is pulled from the conversations panel. So if you make a comment in a blank row, the Created By and Modified By will return the discussion.system@smartsheet.comuser.

First row was created normally. Second row was created normally, then I made a comment (with "Latest comment" system column on. Third row was created by making a comment in a blank row.

Yes, this is correct. After the problem arose again, I did create a support case and they confirmed.

I did some testing, and this issue only arises if the very first thing you do in a row is add a comment. Once you add data to other columns and save, discussion.system@smartsheet.com populates the Created by column. I believe this entire issue only occurs if you have a `Latest comment` column.

Good day all. So, is this a bug? I'm seeing it in a recently create sheet with the latest comment column activated. It seems to only indicate discussion.system@smartsheet.com when I post. And I created the sheet. It would be nice to have that not be the case. So, talk to me oh great sages of Smartsheet.
