Dynamic View - Missing newly added field in filter drop-down

I've added a couple new fields to a Smartsheet and am looking to filter against them within Dynamic Views.

Within Dynamic Views settings I've added these fields to both the View Display "Visible Fields" and Details Panel "Detail Panel Layout". They are showing up when I get out of Settings and back to the unfiltered view.

These fields however are NOT SHOWING UP in the filter set-up drop-down list when either modifying an existing filter or adding a new.

Anyone have a resolution for this?

UPDATE: Turns out the column I was adding was a "date" field and "date" fields are not a value that shows up in Dynamic View filters. I've had to add another helper column to copy that date in as text so it can now be used. The only issue is I have no idea how long it takes for a newly added column to show up as an choice within Dynamic View. I assumed it will show up immediately but so far it hasn't. Anyone have any ideas?
