Copy to new sheet automation
Good afternoon,
Hopefully, someone can help me with this.
I have multiple smartsheets that copy into a master smartsheet as new rows as added.
The issue I've discovered is if the users of the multiple sheets update row data, which they will regularly, the updates do not transfer across. Equally, if I run the automation manually, the rows which have already been copied across, come across again but with the most up-to-date data.
The master file will be a massive document so spot-checking these issues won't be possible.
Any suggestions of how the master document can always contain the most up-to-date info from the multiple sheets?
Appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!
Lisa

I would suggest a row report that pulls in from every sheet.

@Paul Newcome Hi Paul, will that not duplicate what is already on the master sheet? These will be working documents, being added to and updated all the time.

Sorry @Paul Newcome , I know what you mean. Unfortunately, I cant use a report because I'm building a dashboard based on the master document and you can not create charts based on reports.

The report would replace the master sheet.
You can create charts from reports as long as you use the report grouping and summary features.

@Paul Newcome I tried to chart from the report but it will only chart on the first two columns.

Are you able to provide a screenshot of the report?
