If a checkbox is clicked on a form, can a field populate from previous data?

Hello,

I have a form where the user would enter a Contact 1 name and Contact 1 email. Then a bit later there are fields for Person A name and Person A email. Often Contact 1 and Person A would be the same information (but not always).

Currently in an Acrobat form, there's an option for "Person A (check box if same as Contact 1)" then Person A's name and email autofill. Is there a way to do the same thing on the Smartsheet form? Logic seems to only work for hiding and showing fields.

I think you might need to setup an additional column to make this work although someone else may have a better idea.

Option 1: presume that if the checkbox is checked and Person A is blank, then use Contact 1. I don't know how you are ultimately using your data so you may need to go to option two.

Option 2: use add a helper column to combine the data. In your helper column you would have a formula that would look at the checkbox and if it is checked, get Contact 1 name, otherwise get Person A name.
