Can I add an attachment to a row once it's locked?

I have a lock row workflow set up to lock when a specific date is met. We came across a situation where an editor needs to add an attachment after the row is locked, but can't.

Is there a way for editors to add attachment after a row is locked?

@hoodm Attachments should not be locked. How are they adding the attachment?

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• You could unlock the row(s) with a Workflow and then lock it again
• Add it through a form?

Just to confirm, there is no way to add an attachment after the row is locked? The 2 work arounds are the best alternative options.
