How is percentage completed added?
I want to update a Gantt chart that has been neglected. Several tasks have been completed. How/where can I add data to show the work has bee completed?

You would typically update a tasks "% Complete" column to 100%.

Hi @Raniel
You could use a Change Cell Workflow to add a value to your % Complete column when another cell changes (for example when the Status changes to "Complete"), like so:

Keep in mind that if you're using a Project Sheet with Dependencies enabled, this will only update child row cells, since the Parent Row % Complete is based off of the Child % Complete. See: Parent rollup functionality

Thank you so much for sharing this, I was able to follow your instruction automation was set but the number under % even if I change the status to "complete" % remain at the same number and has not change to 100%.

Hey @Raniel
Is it possible your sheet wasn't saved when the change was made?
I can see in your image that the save button has not been clicked.
The workflow will only be triggered once the change is saved to the sheet, and it can take a few minutes for it to come through. Can you try changing another cell, saving the sheet, then waiting to see if it updates?
Let me know if that was the cause!

I must be missing something absolutely basic, but when I try and add a column I only get a fixed list to choose from and none of them are "% completed".
Also I cannot see how to reply to anyone who has tried to assist me in this community page. Can anyone supply an email address? I have had 10 responses, but not had any joy.... Robert

@Raniel - in the newest image it still looks like the "Save" hasn't been clicked. Now that it's been some time, has your sheet Saved and the value updated?

@Genevieve P. hi thanks for the reply. Yes, I did click save, just wanted to show in my screenshot that the save button was available at the time when i changed the status to complete.

I manually changed item 7 to 100% as the project completed already.
Please see item 8, change status to complete, click save but still in 65% instead of 100%
Thank you for looking into it or perhaps if there is a step by step video that I can watch? please share it.
