Is there an automation that can send a "Generate Document"?

Hello

Is there an automation that can be created to send an attachment when certain criteria are met? I do not need anyone to sign the document, I just want it sent as a document.

@Merit Sowards Sure it can and there are various ways and they all depend on how you setup the sheet, the types of columns used, etc. If using an intake form upon the entry is received it can trigger the generation of the document, if not then it can be when the status changes assuming that there's a status column or you could even have a checkmark column type as the trigger. In the same way you can use a trigger and a condition to send the attachment to certain people.

I believe automations can send emails with attachments in two cases: (1) the workflow Trigger is when an attachment is added or changed & the workflow runs when triggered, (2) the workflow Action is Request an update & the fields sent in the message include 'an attachment'. I believe in both cases only the most recent attachment is included, but I don't use workflows for sending attachments, so I am not sure.

You could start a workflow from a template, and choose the "Alert someone when specific criteria are met" template and set up the trigger like this:

If there are other attachments getting added to these rows as well, then you'll also want to add a condition, and choose a condition that is only true when the desired Generate Document workflow has just finished. (To avoid sending the attachments every time an attachment is added or changed).
