Automations with Attachments

I don't seem to be getting anywhere on email support so I am hoping someone can answer me here.

I have several automations with email notifications that include attachments from the row, however, I have created a new worksheet with a similar notification that should have attachments as I have it clicked on the workflow... however this new automation/workflow doesn't include the attachments in the email and I can't figure out why because it is no different from the other automations I have. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

To expand on Andrée's correct answer, attachments are only sent with Alert workflows if they are added or updated at the same time as the trigger for the workflow.

What type of workflow is it? (Alert, Approval, or Update Request)

I have a log for transfers, I have to attach an invoice and then I hit "completed" which logs a date.

The trigger has to be the attachment for it to be included in an Alert.

I have several other workflows that the trigger isn't the attachment and they all have the attachments in the email notification so I do not know why this one is different when it is much less complex than other workflows.

I am finding, however, that my other workflows are triggered upon creation - so the attachment is there on the line so it is part of the trigger but not the direct trigger? I am going to do some further testing to see if I can work around.

Andre and Jenna,

thank you for the information. I read what it said on your link but I am still having issues with attachments. Attachments in my workflow will always be attached at the beginning. The alerts come through only when someone approves or declines a form. Is that why the attachments are not coming through. I believe I a meeting the criteria or am I missing something.
