  • Hello! I'm Nick from Indiana. I work in fintech and I use Smartsheet for task tracking and project management. My background is in banking and tools like this are very helpful to me in transitioning to more tech-focused tasks.

    Hello Everyone!

I am back! I was part of the community when I was at Medtronic. I transferred my profile so as not to lose any badges, especially my Core Certification. I am finally working a permanent role, rather than as a contractor. The thought of benefits is great. I have only had 1 other perm. role since 9/11, and that was 10 years ago and only lasted 2 years before I was laid off. Having Thanksgiving off as a paid holiday, I am excited!!!

Anyways, I have been a Business Analyst for 10+ years. I specialize in Process Improvement and CAPA (corrective and preventive action). I just came to know Smartsheet during my 2 1/2 years at Medtronic.

In my spare time, I love watching Anime, Making Chain Maille Jewelry, Doing Diamond Painting, and Gourmet Cooking. And I am always ready to go out for a gourmet meal. We started doing "Taste and Replicate", I think this was from Hell's Kitchen or Master Chef (something with Chef Gordon Ramsay). We started this as a way no not only improve our cooking skills, but allow ourselves to enjoy one of those $60 meals at home without the hefty price tag. Some of our perfected dishes include Steaks: Filet Mignon & Ribeye's, and Bone-In pork chops, all of which the butcher cuts to order, so we get the thickness we want. Rack of lamb, NOLA BBQ Shrimp, NOLA Shrimp Etouffee, Crème Brule, Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Lava Cake, Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie.

Steve is a retired electrician, so we have been remodeling our house one thing at a time. In the 3 1/2 years sin ce we bought it, all lights have been replaced with modern lights or ceiling fans. A few wooden louvered closet doors were installed in the last 36 hours. They had BADLY painted the white ones. We even painted 2 walls as accent walls with a nice aqua paint.

Steve and I have been together for 23 years, and married for 9 years.

  • Hello Smartsheet Community,

I’m a Sr. Field Engineer at a small startup in the Energy as a Service (EaaS) industry, with a background in construction and facility project management, primarily in MEP environments. I’ve been using Smartsheet for just over two years and am excited to join this community to further expand my skills.

Currently, I’m working on a special project to create a Smartsheet blueprint for my company, which includes developing reports, dashboards, and workflows. I’m here to learn, connect with others, and seek support from a freelancer or group who can assist in developing and delivering this project.

I look forward to engaging with the community and learning from everyone! If you're a power user and would like to connect, please feel free to reach out.

    Best regards,

    Brandon

Born in Kaliningrad, Russia, a year prior to the fall of the Soviet Union, I immigrated to the United States of America in the late 1990s and experienced an incredible culture shock from the bright and blazing speed of the American culture. After a week of Hooked on Phonics, I learned the English language for the first time, my first words being, “Brush Your Teeth, Brush Your Teeth, Brush Your Teeth.” Wise words from a six-and-a-half-year-old who had no idea what either a toothbrush or toothpaste was. I was quickly shoved into sports or activities of every kind to burn through the endless surplus of energy I had then and I have still: soccer (football), tennis, track & field, swimming, basketball, baseball, volleyball, ballet, gymnastics, childhood shenanigans, riding bikes, skateboarding, rollerblading, ice-skating, fishing, diving, and anything else that would keep me occupied for hours. It was not until I was eight or nine years of age that they found the ultimate distracting, all-consuming activity: 5,000, 8,000, 9,000, 18,000, and 24,000, 3-D, Dual-Sided puzzles that would keep me occupied for hours and days on end. Despite my energy and despite my troublemaking in the classroom, I excelled in English, Math, and the Sciences early on in elementary and middle school. My excellent grades and my then-still ongoing, well-known antics (the sisters, priests, and librarians all knew of me quite well by then) enabled me to attend an all-girls, private, college-preparatory Catholic High School known as Divine Savior Holy Angels. Playing on both the varsity basketball and varsity soccer since sophomore year, our varsity soccer team on which I played right-back won back-to-back, Division 1 State Championships in my Junior and Senior years, an unforgettable, incredible, and phenomenal collective accomplishment. Graduating with High Honors and with the Salvatorian Sisters’ Service Award (an award given for over 200+ hours of community “service to poor & vulnerable persons” in many communities and multiple jurisdictions). After originally attending Loyola University Chicago on an academic and an athletic scholarship for half-a-semester to study Pre-Law & Criminal Justice and Criminology and to play soccer (football), I then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to enroll in their L&S Honors Program and to triple-major in Architectural Studies, Pre-Med, and Neuroscience before finally switching to joining the Lubar School of Business with a double major in General Business and Accounting with a year of courses currently left to graduate and making the Dean’s List every year enrolled. After graduation, I intend to complete the Uniform CPA Examination to become a Certified Public Accountant to enrich both my growth and development but also be able to contribute even more to DCI Marketing’s own rise and success down-the-line.

When I am not working, I enjoy playing with three furry children (three guinea pigs), dancing with goats, running with dogs, climbing trees, walking in parks, reading, listening, learning, researching, solving puzzles, spending time with friends, joking, laughing, performing gymnastics on cars and on benches, causing mild traffic jams due to the former, singing, adult colouring, writing silly poems, drawing here and there, playing several instruments, cleaning, organising, playing Holiday music in July and staring back in in October, volunteering, meeting new people, and enjoying the resounding beauty and magnificent wonder of life.

Soon after my hire with my current company, I fell utterly and deeply in love with SMARTSHEET as a byproduct of a client who essentially solely used SMARTSHEET to an extreme that I had never encountered, becoming one of two SuperUsers at my current company (the other being the Director of Project Management) with metrics in the top 1% amongst all of Marmon & Berkshire Hathaway SMARTSHEET Users with licenses in a matter of six months (and having metrics never seen before by the SysAdmin even with those with 20+ tenures at the companies) with multiple Certifications and attending in-person meetings with SMARTSHEET Leadership and monthly virtual meetings with them along with my Parent, Parent Company: Berkshire Hathaway.

It has been incredible learning, working with, utilising, experimenting, and learning more and more about SMARTSHEET that can enable automated workflows & ever-increasing efficiencies for not only entire Teams but the Company overall.

Hello from Minnesota! My name is Eric, and we currently use Smartsheet to manage project tasks in a New Product Development environment. I'm a novice/intermediate user of Smartsheet and would love to learn more about how to pull information from multiple project sheets in a dashboard or report for weekly/monthly project status reporting.

Although I live in Minnesota, I am not a huge fan of Winter, other than that it's hockey season! I love to golf when the weather is warmer here in the Summer.

  • Hello everyone. I am Angie Bryant. I am from southern Georgia (near Florida), in the United States. I have been using Smartsheet over a year now. I attended Smartsheet ENGAGE 2024, which was my first ENGAGE conference, and I loved it! I received my Core App Badge on 11/29/2024. I am currently trying to stretch my knowledge with the Work App section of Smartsheet and become a little more fluent in that arena. It is a small struggle that I embrace. 😉
