Inviting external collaborators - why doesn't it work?

Hi - we pay for up to 200 collaborator licenses, but we have always had trouble with this feature.

People claim they are always asked to subscribe and pay, or they get marketing materials asking them to sign up, then they can no longer access the sheets we've shared.

We normally email people from the "Share" function on the sheet or workspace - are we not doing this step correctly?

Can anyone help us with how we solve this issue, or provide clearer instructions to people when we send to them?

The Collaborator License Pack is only for WorkApps, so you'll have to share the WorkApp with the collaborators instead.

To share WorkApps with unlicensed users or free collaborators, an additional purchase (WorkApps collaborator pack) is required.
