WorkApps - Admin Permissions on Assets

Hi,

We are using WorkApps more and more to create a "one-stop shop" where users can go to access forms, sheets, reports, dashboards & dynamic views.

Some users have admin access to sheets, and we lock certain columns to ensure that editors can only amend specific information.

However, when sheet admins use WorkApps then they cannot edit the locked records, since the WorkApp page permission overrides the sheet permission. This means that either Admin's need to access the sheet directly, or we need to unlock records.

Am I missing something?

@Paul Newcome I was primarily checking that I was not missing something in the way that we were using or configuring WorkApps.

This is a real hindrance as we have several scenarios where it is required that sheet editors see certain information but are not able to amend. We have dynamic view so will see whether how to use this for a workaround.

• Could you add a Report that Admins could use to edit the sheet(s)?
