Right now, only the Admin role for a sheet can hide and unhide a column, but this causes issues for the rest of my team who are Editors. I would like at least one of the Editor roles to be able to unhide columns as needed. We don't want to make everyone an admin (for obvious reasons), but our managers will often hide columns because the sheet is just too long (not for hiding sensitive information or something). So we'd still like to hide columns as needed, but allow for a certain subset of users with Editing rights to unhide columns.
My Team's sheets have a ton of columns too, perhaps a solution for you could be to create dynamic views for certain roles that need to focus on certain fields? That is what I did for my Team.
