Link value from a sheet summary field to a specific field in a row in another sheet

I have utilized the sheet summary function on a sheet and would like to have the value in one of those fields populate in a specific field in a different sheet.

Hello @jcurry,

It doesn't look like Smartsheet currently has the functionality to reference a Summary Field from another sheet. My recommendation would be to create a helper column in your first sheet where you collect the summary information (in your formula, reference [Summary Field Name]#), and then you can point to the helper column from your other sheet(s).

Thank you, @Monique_Odom_Comcast - I have not used the helper function. Could you point me to where I would find the instructions for setting this up?

Hi @jcurry

I believe @Monique_Odom_Comcast is just referring to creating a regular Text/Number column in your sheet and referencing the cell so that you're bringing it into the grid of the sheet instead of the summary tab.

You can hide this column if you don't want it to be displayed.
