same sheet formula references not highlighting

I can't seem to understand how or why my formula references sometime work and sometimes not. I use the simple [Column Name] and sometimes it works, sometimes not. Is there a trick to it that I am not seeing?

Its easier to reference another sheet because there is a way to simply select the appropriate column. Maybe there is a way to do this on the same sheet? something like Shift click or control click. I can't figure it out.

Hello @Elliott Shrader The easiest way to reference the same sheet is to create sheet summary fields. You can embed formulas in sheet summary fields, allowing you to see key metrics every time you open the sheet summary pane. Summary fields can also contain data, hyperlinks, images, and more. You can work with the pane open so you can see the sheet and the summary at the same time. Here's a helpful link to get you started -
