Tracking Projects on Smartsheet
Hi,
I currently have a list of projects that i'm tracking on a smartsheet,
However if I were to add milestones/tasks, I’m unable to merge the rows under column “Project Name”, “Project Manager” thus having multiple rows with repeated Project names etc.
How do I go about setting this up all in 1 smartsheet? As ideally I would like to “request an update” to the project manager to update the status of the project milestones in 1 request instead of sending multiple rows with the same project name.
Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi Andree,
Here's an example :
i will have to create multiple rows of the same project name/Project manager in order to list out the milestones..
is there a way to make it a sub task? so that when i request update from the Project managers, they will be able to view the project name and also the update the milestones in 1 request?
thanks!

@Andrée Starå will you be able to advice?

@Yasmine Ismail - While there is no direct answer, I typically use a workaround via reports. Explaining below:
- If you change the Project Manager to an email / contact column, and enter project managers email-ID.
- Then create a report, which has a filter option on that column by "Current User"
- And finally, you can send that link to report to everyone, so that they can open link, see only their projects, and update.
Let me know if this workaround works for you, or you need any further clarification for above steps.

@anuraggogna tried using that method, however there will still be the issue of repeated project names (rows) as i have milestones per project
