Copy clipboard as attachment to a row?

I can do a screen copy to clipboard using Microsoft tools. I can paste it into a cell in Smartsheet and it shows up as a .png file. Is there a way to paste the clipboard contents as an attachment to the row, not in any specific field?

Sure, you need to save the snip file first. Until the snip is saved, it is not a file and therefore can not be uploaded because it simply does not exist yet.
Unless, you use document builder! I have featured your question in my daily post on LinkedIn. Please see the link attached for a video that explains how to map .png documents into PDF's.
Hope this helps!

I'm honored to have made the question of the day. I don't need to save the snip before pasting into a number/text field. When I do that, SmartSheet seems to create a file automatically, named Image.png. Also your first paragraph reads that Document Builder will generate a PDF only if I have first created a PDF. Is that what you intended to say?
Using Document Builder might be a good workaround. However, when I attempt an automation to do that, I get a message from Document Builder to sign in with SmartSheet (even though I'm already signed in), and then a white screen in the browser with a small black dot in the middle of the screen.
Do I need more than the Team plan for Document Builder to work?

Just jumping in here to clarify that yes, you will need to be on a current plan (Business or Enterprise) to use Document Builder. This is a feature that was released after the Teams plan was discontinued (see here).
Here's more information about Document Builder:
