Disable Comments for a single Sheet?

Is it possible to disable the use of comments on a single sheet? Or is there a way to get an alert to someone, perhaps sheet owner/admins or a special group when there is a comment added?

You can't disable comments altogether on a sheet, but you can manage comments by controlling permissions people have on the sheet - limit sharing to Viewer only. If people need to see and edit information, you can manage that through using the Dynamic View premium app (and uncheck the "Users can add comments" control) or set up a system of update or approval automations.

As realtes to alerting someone when a comment is added, …yes! You sure can. Build the trigger of automation to trigger when rows are added or changed - when a comment is added or changed. You can run a workflow as soon as it's triggered, or you can send periodic updates (hourly, etc.). Here's a bit more on Alert & Reminder automations:

Thanks so much. I am new at my company, so I am not sure if we have Dynamic View premium app. And these users need the ability to edit, so View only access would not work. I will check if we have this Dynamic View.

And thanks for the Plan B. I always try to create a Plan B on every situation, as you never know what you will be faced with. Appreciate your help!
