If I do a copy of a sheet that contains a mapping, I want that copy to have the same mapping without me having to reload the editable pdf and redo the mapping of the columns.

I guess there is no update to the timeframe this will be released? This is an important upgrade and needed sooner, rather than later.
I'd have to agree with @Linda Hoydic here -- we have had to do alot of remapping when we have multiple regions across sheets. As we scale, I could see this being a problem dependent upon the amount of times sheets will need to scale and expand.
Idea: You could add a "Copy Mapping" feature that once click, can be applied to whichever sheet you choose. If the mappings don't exist in that sheet because columns are missing, an error with those columns missing or mappings that are unable to map could be an easier solution then the overall copy from identical sheet to sheet and could allow users more flexibility.
@Andrée Starå has there been any update to the roadmap for this item since you posted in February?

Exactly! I have 13 variations of the same fillable pdf form, same layout, same field. Would be great if I could map 1 document in smartsheets, save it as PDF 1, then duplicate it and change the form behind the mapping. As it is now, I think you have to manually map all 13 forms..... Add either a duplicate, or a save as function in the Forms Generation part of SmartSheets.
Has there been any updates to this. I know that it is constantly asked for, but when will this happen?
My workflow can not be rolled out until it does.
I agree that this would be a helpful new feature. I didn't realize documents were not copied over when you copy a sheet/create a template.

@CourtneyKlerkx I hear you!! I spoke with some folks at Engage. They are working on it, but it's not even at a beta stage yet. 😭😭
This is a blocker for a workflow we developed with Weekly Status update reports being automatically generated into a pdf Update, to be included in Project Toolkits Templates that will be provisioned through Control Center. Without a way to transfer/save a document mapping, this has to be re-created for every new project and now has to be including in training for all PMs, which is not ideal for rolling out to a large group of new Smartsheet users.

When copying a sheet it should allow the ability to also copy the doc template/mapping along with it.

As the smartsheet admin for Europe, it would be extremely helpful to be able to view all Automations / recurring emailed reports in one place as opposed to sheet level. It's almost impossible to ensure everything is working correctly / delete recurring emailed reports without this.
