Hello @Daleen Pretorius, can you confirm that the field(s) you are trying to edit are not in locked columns or rows?

What plan are you on and what plan is the sheet owner on?

I'm having a similar issue. I'm a licensed user and I have shared our RFI sheet with my engineer, he's been assigned "editor-can share. He has made himself a user and can see the sheet but cannot add his responses or attach documents.
Let me know if I'm missing something.
Thanks
Kurt

The first level Pro version. My engineer is not licensed.
I have other contributor's, also without licenses, who don't seem to be having any issues editing sheets?? Their permissions are the same level.

So how do you fix this, I have a pro license but my client who I have assigned as editor can not edit the project sheet?
He does not have a paid smartsheet account, nor should he have to, I use smartsheet to keep track of the projects, it says I can have 10 users, so what is the deal here? You used to simply share and the would make changes no issue. Now smart sheets want my client to pay for smart sheet to make changes and updates for a program that I use to track with and they do not? What is that all about, I also can not add them to my plan for a month and of course pay extra for them to access my sheet, then kick them off and cancel them after the month? Something is seriously wrong with this new setup by smartsheet. This does not lead to good buisness, and makes smartsheet useless now for tracking projects with a client. And that is what I have been doing with smartsheet for 20 years. Now they are no greedy they want to force my client to pay for something he does not want for his own buisness. WTF.
