Free Collaborator Access
NDSC
✭✭✭
We have a Smartsheet and have created some reports for others to update. The others are not licensed users, and we just need them to update certain fields periodically. We've given them "Editor - cannot share" access to their reports, but they are unable to enter or modify any data. Shouldn't a free collaborator be able to update fields if they have "Editor - cannot share" access?

Hi, NDF SCG,
Couple of things to look for:
- Are the columns and/or rows containing the cells you want them to edit locked? If so, only the sheet owner or admin will be able to edit data in locked rows/columns.
- If you want them to edit the data via their report, then they also need Editor access to the source sheet(s). Perhaps you've given them Editor access to the Report but only Viewer access to the sheet?
Hope that's helpful.

Very helpful, Matt. I had forgotten to give them edit access to the master sheet. Thank you!
