Circular reference help
Hello, this should be an easy question for a Friday.
I am trying to add weekly time spent on a task cell value to an actual time by task cell. The circular reference occurs because, obviously I am referencing the actual time by task cell and wanting the weekly time to automatically add to the total already in the actual time by task cell.
Column - Time spent by task
Cell value - 8
Column - Actual time spent by task
cell value - running total of weekly cell value for the life of the project
Is this possible or is the result always going to be a circular reference?
Sorry for the noob question. Thank you for the help in advance.

Are you able to provide screenshots for context?

What is the formula you are currently using?

Sorry I should have specified that earlier.
Thanks

I'm not sure I understand exactly what it is you are trying to accomplish.

I am trying to track the total of the weekly time spent on a task (column - Designer Weekly Time by Task) in a cell that adds the time spent by week to itself (column - total time spent by task) resulting in a total time by task. Rather than having the total be a manual input.
Designer weekly time by task + total time by task = new total time by task.

So you want a running total of the individual rows, or is the total adjusted weekly on the same row every week?
