How do I share a sheet from a EU account to US?

Options

Hi,

I unknowingly created an EU account despite already having a US account provided by my employer.

Why SS allows 2 accounts using the same email, without any alerts is strange to say the least.

Anyhow, I created a sheet on the EU account and need help sharing it with my US account, and making it the owner.

I tried sharing to myself and received a "You may not change your own permissions" error.

I am really trying to avoid remaking this sheet.

Thanks in advance

    Hi @mbecerra

I hope you're well and safe!

Unfortunately, it's not possible to share between the US and EU accounts. What I've done when clients need to move from one to the other is exporting everything to Excel and then recreating everything.

    I hope that helps!

Have a fantastic week & Happy Holidays!

    Hi @Andrée Starå,

What if staff of a company invested many hours in building sheets including reports, automations, filters, folders, etc. within the business portal (hosted in the US), then decides to switch to the enterprise version which might be hosted in the EU?

Does every single sheet need to be exported from the US-business-portal and imported into the new one? This could take several working days!

Every response is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Best Regards,

    Tobias

    Hi @TobiasKarlsruhe

I hope you're well and safe!

Unfortunately, yes, or it has to be copied/pasted, and that's what I do when I have clients in a similar situation.

If they are in Workspaces, I export that and then recreate it.

    I hope that helps!

Be safe, and have a fantastic weekend!
