Sort rows using Auto number column

I have an Auto number column in my sheet. I have now reached over 100 numbers, but when I sort the rows ascending, all the 100 numbers are now shown in the top of the column before the numbers lower than 100. 102, 101, 100, 37, 48, 69, 98. How do I get the 100 numbers to be at the bottom?

To add to Che's excellent advice/answer.

It's because Smartsheet interprets it as text, so you would have to add a so-called helper column for just the number and use that for the sort.

Hello @HEJ

You need to set the numerical places to desired number of digits. To define the digits 0's will be inserted into the front of each number in the sheet such that each one contains the desired number of digits.

Thanks for your feedback. It doesn't seem to fix the problem though. I have inserted a picture of the coloumn, when I try to sort the rows. No matter the number of digits it remains the same.
