What formula to merge excel into smartsheet?

I would like to have a Smartsheet file that holds specific order information (job name, ship date, delivery date, comments etc.).

The dates on these orders can change weekly. How can I import an excel file that has updated date information into the smartsheet file without wiping out what is already there? The information in the excel file would recognize and match the orders in the smartsheet file. Ideally, the cells that would be updated would change color to let the user know.

Is this possible?
