Showing Totals in Stacked Bar Chart
Hi there - Is there a way to show the total values for data in a stacked bar chart?

You would need the total as a separate data point in your source data so that it gets graphed as an additional bar. You would structure it so that it is next to the stacked set as if it is its own set of stacked bars and make sure that the regular data points are all zero so that the only "stack" is the total.

@Paul Newcome Thanks for the assist. I don't think it's going to work in this application but I appreciate your time!

Could you please elaborate/clarify how to show totals for stacked bars/columns?
I'm currently displaying data with two separate charts: one showing total, and another showing the stacked bar breakdown.
Thank you,

@Rendell There are a couple of ways to do this, but the basic idea is that you would have two rows per individual. One with the breakdowns and one with the total.
Label…………..First……………Second………….Total
Name 1………..0.5………………0.5………………blank
blank………..blank……………..blank………………1

@Paul Newcome - Thank you!
This works for creating a Chart using data from a Sheet. Although, I'm creating the Chart using data from a Report. The total values are being calculated within the Report using the Summaries features - I am doing this because the number of data entries/rows is variable and are generated from someone completing a Form.
(I think) The issue I'm finding is how to distinguish the "total" summary row - so that it is displayed separately. I've tried to adjust the Grouping within the Report, but that did not work initially.
I appreciate any insights. Thank you!

The only way to do this with reports is how you have it set up currently with two separate charts.
