How to copy the headers of the columns?

I often send pieces of information by mail, and for this, in Excel I simply filter the data, copy the cells and headers that I need, and paste it on the email. It's like 5 mins.

However, I didn't find yet a way to copy the column names/headers in Smartsheet, to be able to copy them into Excel or other software. There's no way to select and copy the headers on Smartsheet. I can copy the cell data, yes, but then I have to manually populate all column headers, typing by hand on the 21st century.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to copy the columns headers?

Unfortunately, it's not possible now, but it's an excellent idea!

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

• Add the headers again on the first row, then add a filter to prevent it from showing as the default, and remove the filter when you want to copy it.

In addition to Andrée's advice, if the column headers aren't needed on a trigger but you need them routinely, you can schedule an export of a sheet or report into excel. The column headers will be part of the excel file. It would be straight forward to build an empty report, if headers were all you needed- also you could designate the columns you desire.
