Filtering on Smartsheet Report

I have a report that is linked to a sheet where 4 users have admin access with free SmartSheet membership. On the report, only 1 out of 3 users are able to utilize the filter options. For the other 3, the filters are completely greyed out. Does anyone know why this might be?

Hi - I hope that you are Doing good !!

The sheet has data structure in it ?

If the report is linked to a sheet with complex data structures or locked columns or rows, There are chances few users may not have access to filter options if they do not have sufficient permissions to modify the underlying data structure

    Hope this helps

Thank you very much and have a fantastic day!

    Warm regards

  • Hi, i'm doing great, hope you are too!

There are not any locked columns or rows. What specifically do you mean by complex data structures? As in conditional formatting, automations, etc? If so, there are 8 conditional formatting rules and 16 automations. All have the same access and permissions.

  • Hey @Kaitlyn.kemp

Only Admins or Owners of a Report that have a license can change how a Report it built. Filters in a Report count as the structure of that Report, so your free users won't be able to adjust a filter.

Here's a table with more information:

    Cheers,
