Is there a way to create a community with badges for my organization?

I think the concept of gamification such as the badges given by Smartsheet promotes community engagement and achievement through adoption.

Is there a way to create a similar community style engagement and reward badges in my organization?

Very interesting! I'll move this discussion over into the Just for Fun topic in case other members have different suggestions 🙂

Once you've identified the behaviours you want to reward, let us know if you need help with how to set up the treasure hunt or reward in Smartsheet.

This is such a fun idea!

Can you explain what behaviours you're wanting to reward? I wonder if we could set up a sort of "easter egg hunt" throughout your Smartsheet workspaces where if they find a URL to a Form and fill it out, there's an automated email with a CONGRATS message and a reward of some kind.

You could hide hyperlinks in Summary panels of specific sheets, in images on random Dashboards, in other Forms... etc.

You could also set up some sort of Game Dashboard or Activity Dashboard like we did for Engage.

Perhaps every time they find a Form and submit it they get a "point" (or whatever point system you want). You could set up the Submissions to all go to the same sheet so then you could do calculations per-person and display their status or rank in graphs, etc.

I'd love to hear if others have suggestions!

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

Yes, you are spot on. I would want to drive engagement of all of the lesser used (but necessary) functions of our PMO. For instance, the “dreaded” project lessons learned. Since the PMO that I work in is not setup like an IT project. It is much more convoluted to track, make awareness, manage, and obtain this “none urgent” information. Especially, since the volume of projects are high.

I feel this will really benefit the senior staff in knowledge sharing, help management understand who in the organization is engaged and have leadership potential. This would dramatically increase utilization of the areas you want to influence visibility on. Speed up the onboarding process. Most importantly, things are documented and crowdsourced edited. Lastly, it’s fun and people love friendly competition.

@Genevieve P. I would LOVE to develop this for my PMO. It will be a fun way to connect my organization. Especially since we are all across the country and remote to each other. 😁
