Project Overview

Hi everyone,

I am currently trialling smartsheets to determine if it is suitable for the organisation that I work for.

One thing we need, that I can't figure out on my own is a dashboard which has data for all projects. Currently I can nly see a dashboard for each individual project.

What we need is a dashboard which outlines the total number of running projects, the percentage of them that are in progress, not started etc. and also if possible, a part of the dashboard where you can see how many projects individual people are a part of (in order to manage the workload of people and ensure that everyone has either enough work, or not too much work).

If anyone can help with, first letting me know if this is possible, and second letting me know how to set this up, I would greatly appriciate it.

Hi,

You can use Reports to collect information you want to see or you can calculate different metrics to show (Number of all tasks, tasks delayed. ..) or even use charts.

If your organization has many projects there is an advanced module Control Center. It is quite complicated to set up (and you need additional license), but there is really nice automation from the moment of project suggestion to be included to the project list, through automatic creation of the project with all the templates till automated update of all the reports and dashboard with the new project data.

If you have many projects, you should explore the Premium App, Control Center, which can automate most of your needs after it's set up.
