Proof Commenting
My agency is currently using the proofing feature and it has been wonderful! However, we have run into a small dilemma and I'm brainstorming away to work around it.
The issue is when we share the proof with someone that is not shared to the sheet they must be shared to sheet in order to @ someone in a comment. For example, a team member invites someone who is not shared to the master sheet to review the proof. They are notified of the invite. For the unshared user to comment back they must @ the invitee to be notified and vice versa. For the team member who is shared to the master sheet to @ the unshared user, they are having to request access to the master sheet. Is there another way to notify unshared users of comments with out sharing them to the sheet?

Hey @Canteaug
You're correct, the @mention feature is specific to the underlying sheet, so in order to @mention a collaborator they would need to be shared to the sheet as well. Please feel free to add your vote and voice to this Product Idea: Proof notifications - Allow @mention notifications on Proofs to users not shared to sheet
Cheers,
Genevieve
